My training with Shikshangan was in Spring of 2018. It was ESLP (Essential School Leadership Program) I had done my previous training in IIM’s short educational courses. The training with Vijay Sir and Devika Ma’am was unique they were very apt on their presentation mixing management technique with Class room experience. What I could notice was most of the modules which they do are home grown they have put lot’s of man hours in making them. I further went to do ESPL advance in Girivan, Pune in December 2018. I have never stopped from then on whether its my personal development, my faculty, School or friends and colleagues who are in school education. Their trainings are full of nectar and keeps on mesmerizing us. I am so happy that we have such ‘A’ listed trainers in India.

A week in the hills. A couple teaching pedagogy. Uncertainty could well be the name of my week-long retreat. Yet, that one long week at Shikshangan was the most powerful educational journey I took. In Vijay, whom I consider very highly, I found a mentor who was so sure of himself. The gentle demeanour, willing to listen, respect that he gives – is the hallmark of a true educator. Devika is the perfect ally. Sound principles, no nonsense attitude, qualified and yet humble (a rare to find combo!), she was the ideal teacher in the classroom. Over the years, I have met, interacted, heard their workshops several more times, and every- time I found new lessons and a renewed hope in education. Bless you both and keep the wonderful work going. So here is what I recommend: If you have only a week left for your retirement from schools, still go ahead and join the Shikshangan course. It will change your attitude and some child’s world!

The workshop by Shikshangan was logically structured to not overwhelm anyone. Perfectly paced so that the three days were adequately rich without being taxing cognitively in terms of attention. A Transformative Training Experience! The educators of Delhi World Public School immensely benefited from the two days of teacher training conducted by Ms Devika Nadig and Mr Vijay Gupta from Shikshangan Education Initiatives. It proved to be an enlightening experience for educators, as it covered a wide range of topics related to Effective and Efficient Teaching Methodologies. The training emphasized the importance of a Structured Framework for Teaching, consisting of three key components: what to teach, how to teach and whether students have truly understood the material.
